Safeguarding

Safeguarding is the process of ensuring that our work with students and with each other is carried out in a way that loves God and loves neighbour. We take our safeguarding responsibilities very seriously, recognising the potential vulnerability of the students with whom we work, and conscious of the church’s past failings in this regard. We want to ensure that both the scholars we work with and the students we serve are safe with us, that they are free to report any concerns, and that our processes for dealing with concerns are robust and accountable. All B-Less staff and scholars are DBS checked, and receive safeguarding training through our partner organisation ThirtyOne:Eight, in recognition of the fact that they may encounter students with particular vulnerabilities, and that Universities sometimes admit students under the age of eighteen.

Neil Martin is our safeguarding lead, and can be reached at neil@b-less.org.
